Halloween characters at 3am, AA and Update were good.

Tom Hanks is too thin now.

Amy Schumer next week. She'd be down for whatever.

Yeah the AA skit was really good. Drunk Uncle was the episode highlight for me

Listened to about half of the Sheryl Crow episode so far. Not a bad interview but don’t really understand why they picked her.

i can't believe she made herself available

Why not? Is she a recluse or something?

i was being sarcastic. she seems like she never passes up opportunities.

Interesting. I do want to see her documentary. While I don’t keep up with her all that much these days, I was a pretty big fan of hers for a while.

Finally finished her episode this morning. She was actually one of my favorite guests even tho they didn’t really talk about SNL that much.

Covid commercial, Twitter sketch both good. Cecily's trucker bit I enjoyed.

Steve Lacey was ok.

I would have thought The 1975 would have been the musical guest this week since they'll be in town.

I’d never heard of Steve Lacey before. He’s taking cues from all the right people — Prince, Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, Chic, Bowie — but it’s too watered down and homogenized to really land. But he could be an interesting one to watch develop.

Chappelle hosts tonight so that’s promising.

Indeed. Some of the writers are refusing to work on tonight's show because Chapelle is the host.

Excellent episode; easily the best of the season so far. That might have been my favorite “Trump” in the opener. Other favorites were Black Heaven and the House of Dragons short. Really strong Update and an extended monologue too.
I wonder if any cut for time sketches will come out?

Fun episode.

I’m enjoying the Armisen episode so far. About a third into it. They did say that did get Marcie Klein to be on the show.

Still waiting for Franken…

Monologue was great. Update was strong. Game of Thrones was fun. Haven’t seen anything else yet. I’m excited for Black Star.
