As dumb as it was, I enjoyed the Freddy Krueger bit during Weekend Update.

A decent episode? The Britney Spears cold open was fine. I don’t watch Bridgerton so I didn’t know anything about Rene Jean Page but when was the last time a monologue was filled with so many fan girl squeals & screams? The British actors was saved by Kenan’s Ice Cube. Otherwise there’s a pretty good idea there that wasn’t fleshed out well. I’m not familiar with the driver license song but liked the sketch; it reminded me of an similar sketch set in an office with an Adele song just she was hitting it big. Loco was pretty good too, the best of the pretaped segments.
Update was okay. I liked both Pete’s & Heidi’s bits. Pete’s at his best on Update and the pretaped pieces and it was nice see Heidi back behind the desk.
Otherwise it felt like a very average episode. The Job Interview was bad but I did laugh at the Usain Bolt joke. I was surprised the expected Bridgerton sketch didn’t show up until next to last.
Lots of screen time for Chloe Fineman this week. New guy Andrew Dismukes popped up regularly too. Ego Nwodim continues a run of being used more. Less Kate than usual again with both Addy and Cecile being sparingly used.

That was a lowpoint in the season for me. Nothing really outstanding.

The Vintage SNL ep with Britney spears was pretty good though.

Decent episode. Really glad to see Ego have such a big night, and Bowen continues to shine even with limited material. Chloe Fineman’s presence already feels vital, and she’s been here for not even two seasons yet.

Another forgettable episode; I guess it was nice to see The Dione Warwick Talk Show brought back.
Next new one is March 27 with Maya Rudolph, who’s excellent.

Yeah, nothing too remarkable about that ep.

The final sketch, with Kate and Jonas Bro, was terrific. Would watch as many iterations of that as they'd give me. Otherwise no, not a good episode.

A new run starts this week with Maya Rudolph/Jack Harlow. Then it's Daniel Kaluuya/St Vincent and Cary Mulligan/Kid Cudi to start April.

I liked seeing Snow Patrol on the Vintage ep last week.

Didn’t watch. Is it because they refuse to hold Biden accountable in a comedic way? They just won’t touch the guy?

She is not terrible. She’s a treasure.

I had higher hopes with Maya hosting. Neither the spring break open nor the monologue was that good and the Beyoncé chicken wings was bad. Weak start but then it got a little better. You knew Maya as Kamala was likely and the Passover Seder sketch was okay for what it was. The pretaped Boomer parody was alright but probably a little too long. Update was so so. The Shining based closing segment was pretty good, probably my favorite for the night.
A very average episode for the season.

She was fine at one point, but she's become so annoying since she left. What's her go-to comedy move? Singing in a "hilarious" voice? Impersonating a glamourous person but just slightly off? It's so bad.

Update had some good lines. The drunks stretch was good. I love it when Cecily plays a character that fucks up words here and there. She's really good at it.

Started strong; the Britney open was good and probably the best sketch of the night. Kaluuya’s monologue was fantastic; I’d say the best from a non comedian this season. The black game show about vaccines was pretty good. Then the YouTuber pretaped piece was fine but started the mediocre run the rest of the night. Update had some good lines and the return of Guy Who Just Bought a Boat was surprisingly good.
Kaluuya impressed me as a first time host.

I enjoyed that ep. Maybe not a great episode but had a ton of charm and was enjoyable. Felt like the writing was better than three cast & the format for the most part.
