Hulk looks unfinished, but the set pieces and some of the shots looked fantastic.

Thor standing with those fake as hell plastic shield and helmet...with that painted background with a poorly chosen completive of some people cheering...ugh.

It might be unfinished but im guessing Marvel dont even care about it.

I really dig the vibe and aesthetic so far. Don't know how finished any of it is but I think it looks really fun and compelling. Really dig what the art department is doing. I'll see it. And I had no desire to see the second Thor film. But this? Yeah, this I'm actually kind of excited about.

It does looks fun and thats a good choice for the Thor franchise....they were both so serious and boring.

Taika Waititi was a great choice to make this film, although apparently he feared getting fired

the second one is one of my least favorite Marvel movies, but the first had a great look. This looks more like that one, with more of the GotG/80s aesthetic thrown in.

but like Plat said, there is a good chance the best parts were a flashback or something that lasts 30 seconds in the movie.

I know it will never happen (except for a blink-and-you'll-miss-it sequence in GotG), but I'd love to see them go full on Jack Kirby New Gods with the look. This is closer to that though.

you wont see a jack kirby new gods look simply because that is DC

this for right now is the closest you will get (unless GotG3 or captain Marvel goes there)

I'm talking about the look, not the characters (though that wouldn't hurt).

too psychedelic for Disney, methinks.

I liked the first one too, Burt. Not that you care one way or the other.

Well, since he originally created the New Gods with the intention of using them in Thor, this is as good a place as any to see some awesome, Kirby-esque shit.

The fire monster is Surtur. Voiced by Clancy Brown, no less.

Here's what Surtur is about. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surtur_(Marvel_Comics)

Clancy Brown rules.

Fuck yeah, he does. He'll never beat his role in Shawshank for me.

Check out a movie called Shoot To Kill if you ever get a chance.

After Guardians 2, I am cautiously optimistic about this.

I don't know why this makes me happy, but it does. So weird. I don't really care about Marvel movies in general and I haven't seen Guardians 2. But still. I'm happy.
