The Hulk is in a planned three-film character arc starting with Ragnarok. He was the champion in T:R. Nobody ever beat him. He was the baddest ass around. Then he meets Thanos, who pretty much cleans his clock. That had never happened before. Now, Hulk’s scared and you can bet in the third act, he’ll come back and come back strong. After all, the madder Hulk gets, the stronger Hulk gets...
If he comes out as gray Hulk that will be amazing.

Why is it so hard to accept that Thanos won at the end of the movie? I'm not pointing fingers here because I've seen the same arguments on several boards and Twitter and articles across several websites where they can't believe the movie didn't happen the way they thought it should have. Like everyone attacking Star Lord for punching Thanos. Or Dr. Strange for giving the gem up/not making a portal to cut the arm off. Or any number of other plot points that people are bringing up. He won. The story in the comics has him winning, why would you assume it would be any different here?
Even going meta and outside of the story for a moment, there is another movie coming in less than a year. Thanos won, but he's going to lose.

This doesn't sound like people upset that he won, it sounds like people pointing out some of the weaker plot points

Like I'm glad Thanos won, I think the way this movie ends is powerful. But I groaned when Quill ruined the plan by freaking out on him, because it's a pretty lazy way to make it happen.
