we should be ranking our 2020 tv shows
Top Ten in loose order (not everything I watched, just things I really liked):
The Great Queen's Gambit High Fidelity I May Destroy You How To...With John Wilson Better Call Saul Barbarians The Good Place Fargo The Mandalorian
I haven't watched the second season of The Boys yet, but if it's anything like the first that would rank, too. There's other stuff that looks good that I haven't seen yet. I watch a lot more TV than movies these days. A lot more.

Joe, you saw I May Destroy You and didnt comment it here??
Did I not? I don't remember. But yes I saw it. It was great.
It really was. I was surprised every episode by how honest it was. And not even in a "wow I'm amazed at how honest and revealing she is being about her trauma" kind of way, which would be impressive enough. The show was also really honest about all the tangential bullshit and hypocrisy that also occured during that time in her life. I've really never seen anything like it, in that way

The show embraced nuance and didn't shy away from the fact that nothing is ever just one thing. It allowed room for all of that without any explicit messaging or moral judgement.

My favorites from this year. I still cant believe how good I May Destroy You was. Brilliant in every aspect. Besides it, Better Call Saul was magnificent as always and A Teacher is a very welcome surprise. Bojack finale was incredible and The Last Dance was a very nice return to my beloved 1996( with fucking Present Tense as a closer).
1- I May Destroy You 2- Better Call Saul S5 3- A Teacher 4- BoJack Horseman S6 5- The Last Dance 6- I'll Be Gone in the Dark
I havent finished Raised By Wolves yet. Im confident ill return to it. Lovercraft Country...not so sure. Also liked Betty and Love Life a lot but they dont belong in the same list like those other 6 titles.
