Ok I’ll give her some credit for that. But she really needs to prove it to me with her next one by delivering characters that feel like real people, rather than some adult’s ideal of how teens behave.

I liked it too. Also it didn't strike me as any less "realistic" than any other high school comedy I've seen. In fact, having two teenage little siblings, a lot of its beats rang true to me. I showed them the movie and they loved it
