The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
the dialogue is mostly bad and the main characters have no personality to them. I really hope Juliana doesn't ruin the perfectly cromulent Frank storyline.
Joe is also really flat and hard to care about but I have more hope that he'll be more interesting back in New York.

is this something i should start watching? i love history, and stuff like this really excites me. but i don't have a lot of time. and i definitely don't want to waste 2-3 hours of my life just to find out that this is pretty boring stuff.

I agree that it has kinda gone downhill. Although maybe downhill isn't the right word. It just feels like there was a ton of potential that has gone unfulfilled. Great production values only go so far. There's something sterile about the show that's kinda off-putting. Even if the character are supposed to be kinda hard to read, they should still be compelling.

That's really it. They're trying to make the characters hard to read but instead they're making them completely uninteresting. I don't have to know which side everyone is on, but give me some emotional depth, some sense of motivation, some sense of humanity. Make me care about these people.
The world they've built for this show is wonderful, it's a shame it's full of characters they can't seem to get me to care about.

That's pretty much how I felt. It was a great premise, and I thought it showed promise at first but it just kind of went nowhere in the end.

Three episodes in and Season 2 is off to a great start.

Yeah, I'm halfway through the 4th and I definitely think this season is better. They haven't really explained the ending to season one though, so that's frustrating.

I finished this over the weekend. It was good, much better than s1.
I was really happy with this season. They took the criticism of season one seriously and made the pace brisk while focusing more on the political/sci-fi elements. The Japanese actors in this are outstanding.

I finished the first season of this last night. The acting got worse as it went along. Almost distracting. But I loved Rufus Sewell in it.
Gonna start season two tonight.
The main issue i had with S1 was the Juliana and Joe were boring as lead characters. They fix that in S2.
