The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

So six episodes is kind of weak. Even TWD did 8 the first season, right?
I thought TWD did 6 the first season?
Oh. Maybe they did. Still weak given they will have a huge built-in audience already from TWD.
Generally speaking, the fewer, the better for TV shows, though.
That's absurd.
i only have a finite amount of time on this earth, joey. i don't want to spend it watching filler episodes of tv shows
If the story is good, who gives a shit?
do i need to talk about how i don't care about story again?
what i'm saying is that very rarely is an extended amount of episodes necessary, intuitive, or helpful to a dramatic show. it's one thing if it's totally episodic, with each episode exploring a totally new them or narrative through the same characters, but one drawn-out narrative often becomes just that over too much time.

I can't have this conversation again. I just can't do it. It's been discussed to death. Let's just leave it at I can barely even bring myself to watch ANY dramatic TV shows in today's climate, and I don't think TV as a whole is doing anything as well as movies in any way that isn't totally superficial and meretricious.

TV is doing more right (across the board) than film is right now. Everything should be on TV.
fuck you. so much. no. just no.
It's the objective truth, verm. If you're too fucking stupid to understand it, that's your fault.
this is the dumbest post i've ever read and i assume you're trolling
Not at all. It's just in conflict with your own opinion. So you're being a shithead about it. There is literally not a film out there I would rather watch than anything in the movie theaters right now.

TV is by far and away the superior medium.
Dude. No medium can ever be "objectively" better than any other. We're talking about art, here. This is all subjective. And I really hope you're trolling by saying I'm just "too stupid" to understand, because based on our previous discussions, I don't think you actually consider me stupid or a shithead.
