The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Gideon: You missed calls from Barry Allen, Oliver Queen, and Kara Zor-El. Ray: Sounds like the annual crossover. Nate: Yeah, that's gonna be a hard pass.
This show is killing it this season.
This week ...
Sarah: I asked Kara, Oliver, and Barry, and they all said, "hard pass." Nate: We should have done the annual crossover.
---------------
I'm watching Black Lightning, season 2. I know they don't mix this up with the rest of the Arrowverse, b/c it has a very different tone, but I can't see that throwing these characters into the annual crossover would hurt them.
I think this year will be the last big cross-over. Moving forward it will be Supergirl and Batgirl in one "universe" and Legends and Flash in a different "universe." Characters might appear in other shows, but it won't be the event it has been in the past.

You really don't have too. The DC streaming shows are under the same producers as the CW. The Arrowverse Netflix deal is over. Rumors are everything is going to get pushed into a main Warners app anyways and the DC one is already history. Wouldn't be surprised if Crisis ties them all together very very loosely via the multiverse.
John Gholson ✔ @gholson · 1h In the articles about SWAMP THING there still seems to be some confusion as to the "why" of sudden shutdown. The reasons didn't hit the entertainment trades, BUT...they did hit the news in North Carolina...
John Gholson ✔ @gholson North Carolina promised a $40m tax rebate that, due to a paperwork error, they were unable to deliver. That was roughly half the proposed budget for s1 (which is estimated at $80m).
John Gholson ✔ @gholson · 1h Replying to @gholson When NC discovered the error, the corrected. WB shut down production, realizing they'd be taking a bath on the rebate and paying for far more of it than assumed. The adjusted number from NC is something like $14m. That's a massive difference.
John Gholson ✔ @gholson There won't be a s2 because it's now too expensive to maintain the levels of quality of s1, *especially* for s a niche platform, and there's no great reason to keep the production on standby when the deal in NC is no good for them anyway.

So if I haven’t watched any of these in the last couple of years, should I watch the crossover?
that's a weird way to frame the question. I haven't watched anything beyond S3 of Arrow but I'm still catching this because it looks really interesting.

I just meant would I be lost as to storylines and characters and would I need that knowledge yo watch it?
