So in this one there is some enslaving of some apes, calling them donkeys, and whipping them. Every time that happened the black guy next to me would let out a pretty loud groan. It was uncomfortable for a while. Then something goofy happened with one of the apes and I guess I said a little too loud "what the fuck?" The guy laughed when I said that so I felt like we bonded and things weren't so uncomfortable after that.

The Mark Wahlberg movie is mostly not liked. If they are leading into something other than these movies it would probably be the original with Charlton Heston. It's a true classic. There were many mediocre sequels (without Heston), but the original still stands as one of the best from its time.

Finally got to this. Really really good. Would have preferred a nobody in the Harrelson role, but other than that, I think this has made a case for inclusion in best trilogies. It's certainly one of the most consistent in terms of quality.

I really liked this. More than fitting as a closer to the trilogy. I didn't love the second one, but it was still good. This was much better in my opinion.
What happened to Woody's speech from the trailer? I thought it was cheesy as hell, so was actually glad that it's not actually in the film.
