How about Ed, the heartwarming show where Tom Cavanagh is a big-city lawer who loses everything and has to move back to his tiny hometown and he buys a bowling alley

I don't think I May Destroy You is up my alley. Isn't it about rape? I try to avoid misery stuff.
The show is thoroughly brilliant. But I'd say go with your instinct here. It's an extremely difficult watch and I don't think you'd be able to enjoy the artistry through the subject matter.
thanks man

Is there a middle ground between "Black girl gets raped" and "Canadian fuck boi goes bowling"?

im re watching Girls, mainly when i want something in the tv while i do other stuff or i have to eat and i need to see something and not think.
Few thoughts with this re watch
- We already knew these characters were awful people but damn, they are even bigger assholes now.
- Lena Dunham acting here is great, Alison Williams too. The rest is merely ok.
finished my re watch and S6 was way better than i remembered, specially Hanna who had some growth. Marnie too. Forgot how awful the Jessa and Adam characters were. They were the worst.
Also those apartments were filthy as hell!!
Again both Lena and Alison really did impressive acting on this series.
