Season 2 of The Americans. Keri Russell is the kind of girl I always hoped to end up with. Because she’s so hot.

Great show. Nice bum.

It’s hitting the spot right now for me. We can discuss the series in a few years when I complete it.

The Woman In The Window Across the Street… is a horrifically awful show.

The name alone told me never to watch

I was hoping for a Flight Attendant-like mishmash of suburban housewife genre tropes, and that’s what it is, but it’s just done so poorly

Isn't it pure satire? I thought the show was a send up of all the "girl on a train" tropes.

Like, I expected more Mel Brooks than Flight Attendant.

It’s everything and nothing all at once. It pivots from a Mindhunters scene to a Desperate Housewives scene to a 50 Shades scene to a Girl on the Train scene within a few minutes. The problem is that the connective tissue — the dialogue, the casting, the music, and especially (and oddly) the lighting — all feel like an afterthought.

It very much qualifies as satire but there’s nothing funny, suspicious, curious, sexy, or interesting about anything that happens. It’s all just kind of there. Or at least that’s what I gathered after the first two episodes.

I'll probably still give it a whirl at some point because you know Kristen Bell but I'll bump it down the list a bit.

She’s awesome and I’m glad she’s been so successful, but I’m still looking for the project that really lets her shine and that I can enjoy.

We had the same response to Woman... as Trag. It's a mess of a show, the tone is all over the place--formally it's a satire but it's like, to what end? I don't think the show even knows, and so you have these over-the-top scenes played totally straight. Kristen Bell tends to take interesting projects but this one's a bore.

Like if you want to point at the screen and say "women do be spilling their wine!" for eight half-hour episodes, then this is the show for you, but otherwise it's more pastiche than satire.

That sounds a lot like satire.

And also something I would very much enjoy.
