Maisel S2 is outstanding so far. I'm only two episodes in but I'm ready to compare it to Mad Men in terms of writing and cinematography. It's already superior in terms of performance. If this trend continues we may have a new GOAT.

I'd have to read it to feel anything about it. Watched the movie, thought it was well done.
That said, my son and I read his other series All the Wrong Questions. Since he read the other series he got more out of it than I did but it was alright. Not a fan of the "question question question answer...maybe?" style though.

I stopped after an armed Jack Ryan is chasing a terrorist who has been shot in the stomach through a crowded street. For some reason, he stops and tries to shoot him, but there are too many pedestrians around. So he just stops. Doesn't bother chasing him down or anything. And there are cops all over the place. All he'd have to do is flag one down. It's just a bad trope the writers shoved in even though it makes no sense here. because they suck.

My wife did not appreciate the last episode of Riverdale as much as I did. It was definitely weaker, mostly because of the format, but it was still a gem. Especially Betty's segment, which was so much like a video game that I almost died.
Scott Ellis, who directed my favorite show that I've worked on in my Broadway life, directed the 3rd ep of Maisel S2 ABC's it was nowhere near as dynamic or compelling as the previous episodes this season. Still a good episode but we REALLY missed Amy's voice and vision.
