So Gordon Ramsay's new show, 24 Hours to Hell and Back, is essentially the same as Hell's Kitchen. The structure is identical, except Gordon Ramsay eats with other people and wears a costume when he tries the food for the first time. And there are clocks in the background for most of the show. And all that the clocks really do is reveal how highly edited the show is. A 15 second conversation takes 15 minutes on the clock, it's fun to watch. But yeah not really sure this show needs to exist.
My wife watches this show, and It's really hard for me to believe that almost every situation in this show isn't staged in some way.
The chef/chefs walk out in almost every show. The owner is bumbling nincompoop at the start, but manages to pull it together by the end.
It's so ridiculously contrived, even for a bad reality show.
Yeah its the same show. The Fox Nightmares/Hell & Back version is unwatchable. The original UK version was a great show.

The American Kitchen Nightmares is often unwatchable, but it is a guilty pleasure. This 24 hours thing isn't even wirth that. It is completely flat, no life at all
We enjoyed the British version a lot better, too. I guess we won't be trying this new show.

The British version is definitely a lot better, you're right. That's an actually good show. Nothing he has done in America should really be described as good, but I've liked just about all of it until now.
We're making our way thru the US seasons of Hell's Kitchen. We're on the last one we've not seen. We're aslo watching Masterchef US right now. Never seen the UK versions of either. For me, he's at his most entertaining when he's actually cooking something. I'll say this for him, he's got to be the busiest fucking celebrity chef alive. He's got 127 TV shows and 59 restaaurants. I don't see how he has time for anything.

Been watching "You're the Worst". It's not bad.

Enjoyed the first season despite the initial premise wearing thin by the end of it.
