Almost done with season 1 of The Patient. When it gets to its moments, it's really good, but mostly it's mediocre with some really good performances, particularly from Gleason. It takes some interesting leaps into sometimes unpredictable and abstract territory, but its best moments are strangely the more ordinary ones. 6.7 out 10 horribly told jokes.

Just bought Peacock so I might finally watch Parks and Rec. I bailed during the first season years ago but I keep hearing how it got better.

Amy Poehler was doing a bad Michael Scott impression during the first season. She finds her own voice as the show goes on.

Andy, April, and Ann are all awful characters and drag down what is otherwise a solid show. But even the better characters like Ron and Leslie are too one-dimensional. Like Friends, they dialed in a "set it and forget it" mentality by the second season.

Perd, Jean Ralphio, Mona Losa -- all those side characters are the best part and deliver the most laughs per second of screen time.

Quality of comedy is probably more subjective than all the other genres. I still don't get why Friends or most other popular sitcoms were as big as they were. I quite enjoyed Dumb and Dumber Too and most people don't seem to like that. Sense of humour is quite varied and personal.

The movie's title is Dumb and Dumber To. Have some respect.

The Dumb and Dumber sequels deserve no respect

Watched Gladiator for the first time in maybe a decade and really enjoyed the extreme melodrama of it. Funny because that's what I disliked about it back in the day. Every scene is soaked in over-the-top emotion. Not top tier Ridley Scott, IMO, but a fun rediscovery
