You show him a cool idea. He’s goes yep. love it. Do it! His people make a note if he likes it and that ends his involvement. He might do a set visit. That’s about it.
Stop blaming him on your disappointment with Lost. And others. He’s barely involved at all.
He just makes it happen money wise. That’s all.
Well, by that argument, I can be mad at him for walking away when he should have stayed more involved. See also Rise of Skywalker.

And I totally agree with you. The show rewarded rewatching and conversation. That's the thing I loved most about it. And I too thought the ending was sublime. What a great sentiment. And the fact that I don't really have a connection to my blood family, so seeing someone embrace and move on with mostly their chosen family really hit me in the feels.
This may be some smudged hindsight but it seemed like the quality of online fan discourse around that time was much better than the general cesspool it's become today. Lost is probably the first show that was able to take advantage of the internet to develop an online fan culture like that.
I totally agree. That's absolutely my memory/feeling as well.

I will happily lay blame on him (and Kennedy and Iger) for the SW sequel trilogy. The Last Jedi rules.

Do you see it yet, B? Do you understand?
Huh? No.

Here was the problem. LOST was JJ's show. From the beginning, JJ had a vision for the ending of the series. JJ basically left after the pilot, and it became Lindelof's show. Over time, Lindelof made it his own. He took it in directions JJ didn't anticipate. Then the end approached and becauseJJ IS JJ, Lindelof felt the need to honor the original JJ vision for the ending of the series. Even though the show had changed so much that that original vision wasn't the best idea anymore. That's why season 6 is kind of a disappointment

Really? JJ has given a ton of interviews where he's said he was really surprised by the ending of the show. That it was way different from what he and Damon had originally laid out in that OG show bible.
But maybe I missed an interview or something somewhere. Where are you getting that?

Oh. Maybe I made it up. Regardless, the flash sideways stuff in season 6 was a bad idea and I'm good jg to keep blaming JJ
