I have a strong suspicion that this will remain my favorite show forever, but I'm pretty much willing to guarantee that it will be my favorite TV experience ever.
Yep. I'm not much of a movie or TV guy, but even if I was, I feel as though this would remain a true statement for me. I started watching in between the run of season 3 and 4. Season 4 premiered in the beginning of 2008, so about 9 months after I graduated college. My wife and I were dating for almost a year at the time and we were sharing an apartment with her roommate from college. The two of them had watched the first three seasons together in college and they decided that I should start watching it with them. I thought the premise seemed silly, so I didn't have much interest in it, but they convinced me to give it a try, and I was hooked after a few episodes. I remember early on really liking the sense of mystery around Locke. I got pretty deep into things as time went on, reading stuff on the wiki and the forums. The series has its share of missteps, but I love the ending.

Heading to Hawaii in two weeks. Anybody ever take a location tour and have recommendations?
It seems like when we went a couple years back, some of the stuff wasn’t really there anymore. Mrs Wease looked into a tour but a couple of places had been demolished/cleared out. Same with Robin’s Nest from the original Magnum. Not a brick remains.

The stupid online stuff was hugely important to me. It connected me to the show and to fans. There were fan communities that were so smart and kind and inclusive and open. It really made the whole experience that much better. Also, it was the only online community I've been a part of that wasn't mostly toxic.
I don't remember hating Jack. My kids haven't mentioned it. But this time around, I started hating him during the 3-part finale to Season One.
Of course, if he was a good person, he wouldn't be in Purgatory.

Kids and I just finished Season 3. I have forgotten so much, I keep getting surprised by the show. I knew the flashbacks started going forward and sideways, in theory, but I was still surprised at the end of the episode when they revealed that we were seeing Jack in the future.
Still loving this.
When it originally aired, I loved it until I was too dumb to understand what was going on. We'll see if that happens again.
