That was one of, if not the worst finale I've ever seen. Fortunately, I watched Breaking Bad the night after I watched this POS and saw how finales are supposed to be done.
Honestly, I was enjoying this season. Seasons 1 through 4 were great. 5 was a step down, but I still liked it a lot. 6, was terrible, and 7 was slightly better. 8 was going well, and I thought it was at least getting back to season 5 levels, but wow, that finale just flushed all of that down the toilet.

I have only the finale to go, but I haven't found this season to be as horrible as everyone said. I mean, it's certainly in the bottom half if you rank 'em, but i haven't been miserable at all.
Is the finale going to change my mind?

Though Season 4 was great, it had an episode that really hurt the show IMO. The one where he kills that innocent guy. That should have been a huge moment. Something with major implications. But instead, he just kinda shrugged it off and it was never mentioned again. That always bugged me.

I suppose they have nowhere to go but up after that dreadful final season but still not sure this is a good idea.
I'd love to see it focus only on Dexter's life as a lumberjack, almost as if his serial killing never happened. Bring a mustachioed John Lithgow back as his original character's long-lost twin brother who's head of the lumber company.
