I havent though about that. I got that she was really emotional because of the letter, but mostly because Jimmy doesnt seem to care about chuck´s death...it feels she is gettin ready to cut him off.

The letter was written quite a while back, it seemed. Before the events of the last couple of seasons. I think Kim got emotional over what might have been and what eventually did happen. And remember, neither Kim nor Howard even know at this point that it was actually Jimmy that set in motion the events that lead to Chuck’s death. I imagine when that inevitably comes to light, the shit is going to fly.

Yeah, but she seems very surprised on how jimmy is behaving with all of this despite of that.

She fretted for 3 days about showing Jimmy the letter because she thought it would destroy him. Watching him be so dismissive about it showed him how fucked up he is inside. That + confronting the inherent tragedy of what happened between these two brothers through Chuck's words + lingering guilt about what happened at the committee hearing has her feelings all in a whirlwind.

what's weird about all of this is that neither Jimmy nor Kim have been particularly open with their emotions throughout the series; they've been very guarded in their relationship (or at least as far as the viewer is concerned). Her expectation that Jimmy might show some deeper emotion right now is sort of odd given that there's not much precedent for it in their past together

Oh, most definitely.

The whole thing felt like it was just underlining things we already knew from past episodes. Even the shootout was boring.
I noticed that too with the shootout, it just kinda happened with very little tension. Although I suppose that's always going to be a problem with a prequel series where we know the ultimate outcome, even on a show as good as this one.
I agree that this episode was also one of my least favorites, Although I think a couple of big things came out of it- Mike becoming significantly more aggressive (which im not sure I like) and Jimmy starting to really embrace the criminal mindset at the end there. But in reality, this season up until last nights has been Kim's story more than Jimmys (really, how much jimmy have we had? Planning a silly heist and moping?) and this episode was significantly lacking in Kim.
One thing that dawned on me this episode is Odenkirk is playing Jimmy as a different person than he was in Breaking Bad. It's not so much that he isn't "fully bad" yet it's that I don't think he's nearly as savvy/smart in Breaking Bad as he is in Better Call Saul. They made him smarter. Does that make sense?
