I am currently on the Netflix streaming train and its OKAY. I was fortunate enough to tear through Breaking Bad and other various movies. Clearly their streaming is lacking in quality new releases but I will survive. I am also contemplating Hulu Plus. Any experiences? I wanted to get into Dexter and I see when you get after it via the Hulu it brings you to HBO Go. If you are a member of Hulu Plus will you be able to watch this show via HBO Go and appletv etc.?
Thanks and god bless.

First of all, don't god bless me. Second, if you don't mind questionable video quality and have a decent internet connection, check out CouchTuner.

I meant I don't think HBO Go would have it.

I actually don't know for sure. But I don't think any HBO shows are available through Hulu Plus. Seems like you have to have HBO Go for HBO shows. Is that right? Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like someone told me that once.

For one, because people like me would only buy like 5 channels and they'd make less money?

Many folks are ditching cable anyway...they better come up with a new system....

I'm hoping they move to a pay per channel type system sooner than later. With online/streaming options becoming so prevalent, it seems like we may actually get it.

I think people give Netflix streaming a bad rap. The selection on there is pretty extensive. Obviously, not every new movie is on there. There are a fair amount of new movies that are worth watching, though. And there are definitely more old movies that are worth watching than anyone could actually watch.
The selection on Hulu Plus is tremendous, since they got the Criterion Collection on there. The problem with them is that I've had a lot of problems with their actual program, on the Roku and on the Wii. Stuff like ads in programs I don't think ads should be in, and programs freezing or taking forever to load. If I paused something I couldn't come back, and trying to rewind or fast-forward confuses the hell out of it. Maybe it's just me, but I've had a lot of problems with Hulu Plus that I never have on Netflix.
