I'm about eight episodes in. I'm really enjoying it. The explanations of and arguments about basic political stuff has been a little tedious a couple times, but overall it's good. It's interesting the way this show balances the episodic and the arc plots. Their personal stories (Sam's call girl, Leo's divorce) are allowed to evolve over at least a couple episodes. The political plots are more episodic. The team faces some political obstacle or national emergency and deals with it in one episode, like cops would solve one case per episode in a police procedural. Even the promised war with Syria only lasts one episode.
I'm interested to see if that changes over the course of the seven seasons, since over that time shows like The Sopranos changed what people expected out of television. I'm interested to see if some political battles start lasting multiple episodes or a full season, which is how most good shows work now.

The second and third season are the best. Been watching the third season recently.

It was the one show that I was waiting for the most to be available through streaming services. It is perfect for it.

Watched the first three episodes last night, pretty good stuff. I watched this show sparingly when it was on, but it was so long ago and I was so young that I really dont remember anything about what happened, which is nice.

I just started this on netflix. Its okay so far. Wonder how authentic some of the rooms in the white house are compared to the real thing. I imagine they are trying to go for as faithful of a recreation as possible, but may not be able to do that what with it being the White House and all...

I'm around ep 18 or 19.
I feel a little guilty about saying this, but I love this show. It's the only thing I want to watch, and I want to watch it all the time. The only reason for the little bit of guilt is how silly the show can be sometimes. The policy debates are often too basic and I often find myself thinking that major plot points aren't logical. Great show, though.

Whats with the goofy music that plays during the end credits?

It's also fun to compare this fake world to the real world. I'm assuming Bartlett was elected in a fictional election in 1998, so there must be no such thing as Clinton. However, Clinton-era policies, like don't-ask-don't-tell, do exist. I'm interested to see what happens after 9-11.

So when are CJ and the reporter dude gonna get it on?

Also, what other shows has Sam's hooker been on? She looks familiar....

I think she's the boss on House.

I just finished season 1 last night, great stuff. The line "This conversation is surreal" from Toby as the President and Sam are discussing who makes a good briefcase might have been my favorite moment from season 1.
