You may recall that Stranger Things breakout Shannon Purser (Barb) campaigned to play Squirrel Girl a while back, and she was actually in the running for the role along with Parenthood actress Mae Whitman who is also a huge fan of the character.

Barb would have made a pretty good Squirrel Girl.

Anna Kendrick wanted to play Squirrel Girl. The fact that she was not cast is a terrible disappointment and a sure guarantee that I will not be watching this shitpile of a show. Good day.

The fact, that Squirrel Girl will be in a TV show, while Marvel, slowly pushes the X-men to the back burner of EVERYTHING... 10 years ago? (whenever Iron Man 1 came out) Wolverine was BY FAR the biggest Marvel character. Guardians of the Galaxy were not even in the official Marvel Encyclopedia, and Squirrel Girl was a joke like Howard the Duck. Disney is going to push out EVERYTHING they can tie into merchandise (a raccoon, a squirrel) and just milk this cow to death.

Fox is... Anything over 30 mins Fox owns the rights too (its why Hulk vs Wolverine is only 30 mins long)
Marvel TV has helped a lil with production for Legion (and they might be for New Mutants)

But I was referring more to the comics, video games, toys, and cartoons. There is not a single X-men announced for the next Marvel vs Capcom game. And hasn't been a single X-men cartoon since Wolverine and the X-men left the air (unless you count the Japanese anime ones)

My son loves Squirrel Girl and ducks. Did you know there was a Squirrel Girl/Howard the Duck crossover?

LOL how could there not be? all ducking aside, the Howard the Duck "Civil War" comic was one of my favorite parts of the whole civil war. Shield NOT letting him register as they've denied his existence for so long theyd have to admit they were wrong.

that's right, its "the Gifted" that's going to be the TV Show about, new mutants and learning their powers. Which will feature Blink, Thunderbird, and Polaris to try and get X-fans semi interested.
