One of the best documentaries I’ve ever watched. I never watched the show that often but was familiar enough with it I recognized everyone. His sincerity and pure empathy towards children was simply unmatched by anyone I’ve ever known and totally came thru in this film. He certainly got made fun of a lot, but he was one of a kind. It would’ve been an honor to be called his friend. I gained a lot of respect for him watching this.

Do I actually care about watching that doc? Is it actually interesting or are weird people making a big, sentimental hoopla over nothing?

I found it very interesting. There was quite a bit I had no idea about. Like PBS basically being originally funded because of him.

Watched King Georges on Hulu last night. It’s about Chef Georges Perrier and the rise and fall of Le-Bec Fin in Philadelphia. I’ve never seen a doc capture the pace and mood of the back of house during dinner service so well. My wife and I were laughing out loud at parts that weren’t really meant to be that funny because it hit so close to home compared to our own restaurant work stories. I recommend watching this. Chef Georges and his crew are very likeable.

Wu Tang Clan’s one on Showtime last month was awesome.
I swear I’ll stop making excuses to talk about Wu Tang after this.
