I meant to ask, what is the Kansas connection with the film maker?
It's from Element 35 Productions. Which consists of three dudes - Bret Palmer, Ryan Bruce and George Stavropolous. All three of them met at KState. George is from Salina. Bret is from Topeka. Ryan is from Indiana, but he's lived in Kansas for a long time.
They wanted to make a Woody Allen-esque ode to their Manhattan.
