I remember Leviathan being awesome but it’s been a really long time. I remember the ads for Deepstar Six but don’t think I actually saw it.

Leviathan is good, Deepstar is only memorable for its poster and ridiculous crab monster. But it’s shorter than the Abyss.

Noah is right at the top of his filmography or me, truly stupendous. The Whale is definitely at the bottom, it sucks

I avoided The Whale for a while because I heard it was too sappy, but he's a kinda sappy director, and I thought it fit the material. I was pleasantly surprised by it. The performances were great (except maybe the mousy preacher guy). Looks great, too.
