I'd completely forgot about John McTiernan. I remember how big he was among my circle of friends growing up. Then his name came up on this podcast thing and I was like... OH SHIT THAT GUY!

Looked over his IMDB page and just went with it. Guys, it's slow at work.

What does everyone think is Altman's best film? My gut says McCabe & Mrs. Miller, but now I'm watching Short Cuts and I just don't know.

I'm not a big Altman fan. But that's based a very small sample size. The Player is probably the only one that I've seen that I really love.

Yea, I saw The Player, Short Cuts, Gosfard Park, The Gingerbread Man, and Prairie Home Companion. Of those, I'd say Short Cuts is his best, but Prairie Home Companion has great re-watchability.

I liked The Gingerbread Man. I fucking hate Gosford Park. Have not seen APHC or Short Cuts, though. Heard good things about both.
