Apparently while watching Master and Commander I did a quick search for Mastie Nad Commander, presumably because it sounds like the title of the greatest movie ever made.

The part where she asks him if he's looking for a date which is what sets him on this Kaufman-esque rant. His girlfriend recently committed suicide and he's dealing with shit like this: Jim Carrey Facing Trial in Civil Suit over Girlfriend's Death
I cannot stand Denzel Washington. He is a terrible actor. I hesitate to even call him an actor. He gives the exact same performance in every motherfucking movie. It's the phony "quiet intensity" bullshit in every role. He just stares stoically and pretends there's something behind that.
Watched Dunkirk with my other half last night as he hadn't seen it. (He didn't like it)
This morning my housemate asked me what video game we were playing last night? Was it a shooter? Told him it was Dunkirk we were watching.
Made me realise something I hadn't noticed. There's not a lot of dialogue in this film. What there is is just the right amount to and taut and fits its intent perfectly. The father and son on the boat are really the only ones that have much and it all serves to paint their scenario. None almost from the soldiers who are literally walking shell shocked PTSD wrecks.

Antonioni is one of the greatest filmmakers to ever live. Anything he made is worth seeking out. I don't love Red Desert, but I've been meaning to revisit it.
