Well, they are just two completely different styles of humor and for the most part probably play to different audiences. An episode like that just wouldn't end up feeling as natural as the humor of either show.

Yeah, I can see that, which is also why it could work? Can you imagine Larry standing in line behind someone ordering food trying to find out of its local or not? I guess im just looking at it as Portlandia playing the "straight man" to Larry's outlandishness

I liked the first two episodes. The idea behind taking back MTV was funnier in my opinion than the execution, but still good. I thought the episodes did not knock it out of the park but both had their moments i enjoyed

that was good...but i really liked the MTV segment, specially that little kid.
