I don't think that would turn out nearly as well as you hope that it would.

how so? well, it would obviously have to be on HBO for Larry to be Larry...

I wanna say it was back on Carrie's NPR Blog days that she mentioned how much she loves his humour/show

Well, they are just two completely different styles of humor and for the most part probably play to different audiences. An episode like that just wouldn't end up feeling as natural as the humor of either show.

Yeah, I can see that, which is also why it could work?
Can you imagine Larry standing in line behind someone ordering food trying to find out of its local or not? I guess im just looking at it as Portlandia playing the "straight man" to Larry's outlandishness

I liked the first two episodes. The idea behind taking back MTV was funnier in my opinion than the execution, but still good. I thought the episodes did not knock it out of the park but both had their moments i enjoyed

The best part was the renaming of 16th Ave. ("Call me a traditionalist." "You're a traditionalist!").

This season's been pretty good so far. Loved the one where the feminist bookstore owners got a bad review online.

Not sure I'm digging season 3 all that much, gang. There are some funny parts but not as many as the first 2 seasons had.

First episode of Season 8 was funny. The horse bit had me rolling.

I don’t remember having that Larry David discussion with MadTIGERmaN at all, but boy is having Larry David on this show a silly idea.

Honestly, I'm not much of a Larry David fan.

Yet, Carrie was on this seasons Curb, So I guess I wasn't that far off on them having a similar sense of humor :D

I can’t believe this thread is only 2 pages.

Portlandia is the best.

Officially over.

This leaves a pretty big void to fill in my life.
