I don’t think she lied, but it doesn’t matter because she either stayed or crossed over and came back. When you love someone, what matters more is that they are there in front of you.

I don't think it "doesn't matter," but I do know that when I was watching that scene, I did not care whether it was true or not. I think there's a very fine distinction between the two, which I'm not really prepped to articulate right now--it's been a little too long since I've seen it.

I think you're hinting that you have some sort of inside source, which is neat (tell us the details or else) but as far as I'm concerned authorial intent is irrelevant. All that matters is what's on screen and that's pretty open to open to viewer interpretation
