Yeah, in the past few months things have gotten pretty formulaic. There hasn't been a breakout story or something that Oliver's been able to actually skewer (despite what clickbait links have told us) since the televangelist stuff last year--that shit was fantastic.

After a few weeks of stinkers, last night's main story was the sort of investigation I love from them: find me a story that I don't know much about, that I'm not sure I care about, and then spend 15 minutes convincing me why it's important. The piece was also joke-lite, and I actually prefer when they keep things semi-serious.
perhaps they wanted to make a distinction between medical and educational debt? This is only coming from my personal perspective of medical debt being abhorrent, while educational debt was a choice one makes to incur
