the new WTF podcast is heartbreaking. Poor guy. So very sad

Her interview with Maron was terrific. His mourning in the beginning felt very honest, but also sort of gratuitous.

How come?

I havent listened to it yet, but i will maybe later.

I just find it weird that she's not been dead for three days and he's already sharing about it on-air. She leaves behind a husband (estranged? separated? who knows), and a kid. I guess I'm worried they might be uncomfortable with her recent boyfriend sharing some intimate details of their final moments together.

He's known for airing his personal shit on his podcast, i would have been surprised had he not talked about it.

i'm not in the know on his and her relationship lives, so unaware of the backstory. sounded pretty honest to me

I agree it sounded totally honest, I don't think anything was insincere at all. I just feel like maybe her immediate family members might not want him talking about it publicly. Feels pretty insensitive, but hey, maybe they're fine with it.

i guess Maron talked about it with the family?
I listened to it yesterday and it was super honest, raw and beautiful. It was even more followed by the podcast, and what i presume, it was their first encounter.

Ill finish it later, but i loved it.

Oh really? Where did you hear that? If true then I’ve got no problems here.

Oh no, i havent read it anywhere. Thats why the question mark is there. Still, i find it hard to point out if he felt he needed to do it. Its his way of mourning and after listening to it, it was beautiful and classy.

Yeah, I just...yeesh. If my mom was dating a guy for less than a year and he started talking about her final moments on air without speaking with me or my sister and dad first, I’d be pissed.

and i could understand that, but again thats you. Neither of us knew her and Maron´s relationship. I dont see anyone from the family saying anything.
The podcast is super classy, super emotional and his words are beautiful. Its an eulogy followed by a previously released podcast.
