I used to love the old Dick Van Dyke show when I was younger so Rose Marie's distinct voice was one from my childhood. I knew she had to be getting old, not too long ago I actually checked to see if she was still alive, but it's still sad to hear of her passing.
Dick's not getting any younger either.

My mom loved those books when I was a kid. I read a few of them when I was a teen as one of my first forays into the mystery genre. I'm kind of surprised to learn that the series wasn't finished a long time ago, but looking at the publishing history she was pretty damn consistent. RIP.

Jerry Van Dyke. Longtime actor known best for playing Luther Van Dame on Coach and being Dick's brother. He turned down the role of Gilligan on Giligan's Island as well as an opportunity to play Andy's deputy when Don Knotts left The Andy Griffith Show. He was also cast as George the handyman on Newhart but was replaced by Tom Poston before production began. He was, however, the lead in the all time tv series flop My Mother the Car

The Van Dyke brothers always seemed like the Kennedys of comedy to me. Sad to hear this.

He was the voice of college football on television. Sad news but I knew he was getting old; I didn't realize he had been retired for 12 years already. And he grew up not far from my hometown.

They issued an acoustic album, Something Else, last year, but the band had to cancel tour dates in Europe and North America because of O’Riordan’s ill-health

I dunno but that's what the article says.
