Oh come on, nothing in that scene was frolicking in the meadows discussing politics. That is one of the absolute worst things ever filmed. The GOT scene was corny sure, but nothing to the level of Attack of the Clones.

Ok, maybe not that bad. But still really bad.

Andy Daly is going to be recapping the whole season for Vulture. I think I might skip watching it and just read his recaps.

Stupid setup for a dragon battle later to avoid “how did Jon learn to ride a dragon fan rage”. Still hoping Bran whargs the Ice Dragon FTW.

Jamie killing Jon might work... hopefully Sansa is planning to kill Cersi when The Lannister/GC company army marches north.

I feel like I can imagine multiple satisfying endings for literally every character on this show except Bran. Like what is his fucking point now? Other than, I expect he'll give us our final exposition dumb about who the White Walkers really are and what they really want. But after that... ? Where can that character go that's interesting or satisfying? What actual part in this will he play?

I hate the Bran is the Night King theory and I have since I first read it forever ago. But at least that gives him some kind of purpose and resolution.

Are we shocked that she handed Gendry a vaguely phallic drawing?

Isn’t that the weapon that will kill the Night King and / or undead dragon?

Wouldn’t his point be to help confirm Jon’s lineage, to provide insight to the Wws, and to warg into the ice dragon? Maybe his point is tied to the Night King?

Yeah, I guess warging into the dragon is something. Maybe he'll do that.

In season one, King Robert says to Ned “I have a son, you have a daughter”, who knew he was talking about Gendry and Arya.

the dragon Jon rides is named after his father. And she must suspect he's related after that ride.

You don’t need to be a Targaryen to ride a dragon.

unless i'm miss-remembering, but in one of the many inside the episode videos, either Weiss or Benioff mentioned that only Targaryen's can ride dragons. so while it may not be true in the books, in the show it seems to be a truth.

Drogon let a bunch of them on his back in the last episode season five and rescued them.

that's because Danarys was there as well maybe?

found the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ha8Qsx6_OBw at 2:57

That’s silly and unnecessary world-shrinking

I don’t know what I am expecting here, but I hope not.

That was decent ... he looks like that guy who slams a bottle of wine and then complains about whatever he chooses as the topic du jour.
