Bunheads is an American television comedy-drama series created by Amy Sherman-Palladino and Lamar Damon, starring Sutton Foster. The show premiered on ABC Family on June 11, 2012 and centers on a Las Vegas showgirl who gets married on a whim and winds up teaching alongside her new mother-in-law at her ballet school. The show's title is a slang term for ballerinas or dancers who put their hair up into a bun while dancing.

Oh? I'm definitely more of a Lorelai man.
Like I said, I seldom watched the show. This was years ago, too, so I don't really know who I'd go for these days. I just liked the idea that a television character was literate and precocious.

I agreed to watch Gilmore Girls with my wife when we first started dating, thinking I'd be doing her a favor, but I ended up liking it a lot. Every few years now we watch the series from start to finish. The flashy spitfire dialog can get tiresome but the family dynamics and the weird small town shit is pretty astute.
I definitely felt more engaged as the episodes went by. I'm glad they toned down Michelle's character and started giving the bunheads more of a chance to shine.
The episode with Kirk as barista may have been the low point. On the other hand, Sasha's character is quickly becoming my favourite.
