The ex-Valve lead writer has posted a summary of what would've been Half-Life Episode 3 on his website. Community seems to think that's the final nail in the coffin. Quite sad - Half Life was a pretty important cultural touchstone of my youth, it's a pity I never got to see the conclusion realised.

I think you Half Life fans would really dig Prey.
I still need to play it, just waiting for a price drop. Are you currently playing it or did you finish already?
I just played the beta. It was cool enough, I could see myself getting into it someday when I have the free time. But then I never loved Half-Life like everyone else did. And FYI, it's on sale on the PSN store for $30 right now; you can still download the free trial I think, too.

I spent the weekend playing Just Cause 3 - what a ridiculously fun game. I played some of JC2 but didn't spend a lot of time with it so this is my first real foray into the series.
I'm having an absolute blast so far just free roaming and blowing shit up. My only gripe is that the load times are brutal and i've experienced a handful of pretty severe framerate drops during intense moments. The world also gets a little same feeling after a while, though i haven't gotten beyond the first couple of islands and i can see a bunch more on my map so there might be some different terrain up there.
