The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

Words cannot describe how much I hate solving vaults in Andromeda. What an astonishingly awful thing to include in this game. Ugh.
What do you mean? Like escape room stuff, or more like Tomb Raider?
It's a mixture of sudoku-esque glyph puzzles and messing with a activating various consoles and paths and whatnot. It's a gigantic, uninteresting pain in the ass and it can take HOURS. I hate it so much.

Yea, I mostly hate those too. There were a few in Tomb Raider that were fun enough, I guess.

Until Dawn is uneven but ultimately fun...
The great: -As a fan of 80s horror, but not one who's played a lot of survival horror games. I like the tone and characters very much. -Dialogue and voice acting is solid. Peter Stormare's role was a nice surprise. -The characters are done well enough that I feel compelled to make dialogue and action choices that play off their personalities, rather than just haphazardly making choices. -This game only cost me $10 -I can go to bed after playing without feeling hyper or twitchy. -It's a refreshing change of pace from the more conventional games I've been playing. Not quite as refreshing as Inside, but still quite novel.
The good: -The "butterfly effect" aspect of the game is intriguing, but I'll have to play more to see how much fun it really is. -The graphics are pretty solid -Some genuinely creepy moments, but I should play more before really weighing in on this
The bad: -The characters walk so slowly! -Anything in an environment that can be interacted with has a little glowing star on it. Stupid! I wish I could turn that off; it would play more like an old school Sierra/LucasArts game that way

I got through my first vault last night. At first it was cool but that did not last long. It's awful. I hated the experience. I'm glad to hear there are more.

I opened 10 Zelda Amiibos today. I got Epona. I really hope to get the Twilight Bow, Hero Shield, Big Goron Sword and Sword (from the original LoZ). There must be a hack to get these items since I've seen pics of people with the Goddess Sword which is unlocked with Skyward Sword Link which hasn't been released yet. The Majora's Mask items look sick!

Debating grabbing the switch soon.. game stop has a $440 bundle where u get the switch, zelda, and 2 other games.. but I can swap a game for Mario kart straight up
So 300 for the system, 2 60 dollar games, and some other game I'll never play works out but I dunno if I feel like dropping 440

God dammit. These "Korean" sellers are jacking up the Amiibo listings on Amazon. There's no way to tell who to actually buy from as there's so many of them on there now. You'd think "oh, that's way too cheap!" would be an indicator but actually they're selling at prices from $3 to $15.

There are supposed to be more shipments soon. Do you have any alerts set up to notify you if the systems are available online?

Yeah, kinda. I mean when you have Animal Crossing Amiibo all over the place and none of the characters people actually want, there are issues. It kind of reminds me of when I worked for TRU and people would come in hunting for He-Man figures and all we had were Man-At-Arms and He-Man and Skeletor. There's just a inherent 'rarity' that comes with action figures because the main ones are the ones everyone wants but there's never enough produced.
