The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
I finished Horizon today. I beat all the side quests and errands except the hunting ones. There were too many follow the trail quest sections. I wish there were side quests that relied on the overrides. I found all collectibles. I thought the game was great, but not game-of-the-year great. Zelda was just too good. The story was infinitely better than most games. It didn't try any crazy twists and it didn't need them. I really look forward to where they'll go with this universe. The post-credit scene makes me believe it will be Alloy or Sylens in the sequel. I would be excited about a Sylens prequel too or anything set about 1000 years earlier during the rapid fall of mankind or anything with Elizabeth Sobeck. Her suit surrounded by the same flowers that the metal flowers were surrounded by suggests that she "planted" the metal flowers and may have survived much longer after her suicide mission than anticipated. I wish the inventory wasn't so limited and the tutorials were better (or simply existed - Ropecaster and Tripcaster I barely knew thee).

I didn't get caught at all in my last few MSGV missions and I've been having a blast with this game. Rock-solid mechanics and I love the pacing and just chilling in the helicopter listening to tapes. This thing is incredible.

I agree with many of these things. An incredible first entry for a franchise. Can't wait for the sequel. Definitely one of the best games of the year, but no Breath of the Wild.

best 80s soundtrack since Vice City
Yeah it really kicks ass, I love stealing the tapes. I can't wait for my dog to grow up either. Such an eccentric game.

Revolver Ocelot keeps telling me to prove that I'm the "real Big Boss," and I can't help but grin.

SNES: I never had one when it mattered. I was an NES addict when this came out, but $200 may as well have been a thousand. I could never scrape together that kind of cash. Much later, I bought one bundled with Zelda for $50. I played it all the way through (incredible game!) and found a Mario World cartridge at Gamestop for under $10 and played that too. And that was it. I missed this entire era.
I recently bought a modded Wii and an adapter so I can use old Nintendo controllers by plugging them into the Wiimote. Holy shit! I have every game. My winter is planned. I am starting with Super Metroid. I'm an hour in and fucking giddy. No idea what's next, but here is my must list: Castlevania 4, Contra 4, Chrono Trigger, and Turtles in Time. Are Super Punchout or Double Dragon 4 any good? I need to quit my job.
