The Big Sick - pretty great. Pearl Jam should have written a song for this one.

"Are you here"
I really liked this film. I think Zach Galifinakis is great. he has that ability to be stupid, hilarious, and very very charming and relatable.
Its one of those awkward not laugh out comedy/love story/coming of age Indie type film of sorts.

Just got back from "Daddys Home 2"

Beauty and the Beast (2017) - Enjoyed it. Probably as good a job as possible with the source material and while maintaining the music of the animated version, but I still see Hermione. I just can't get past it. Like Elijah Wood with Frodo.

Watched the new POTC movie and it was pretty bad. I mean, why were most of the actions taken by the group even taken? There's a witch now? Who the fuck was that? Faramir's in the movie but is killed out of the blue. One of the dwarves from the Hobbit was in it and the only reason I know that is because his face is made of rubber or something. Speaking of, the new crew was terrible. Though I loved the two British guys from the first movie showing up in Barbossa's crew, that was neat.

Well POTCDMTNT would have been even more unwieldy, I think.
And yeah, reading that again makes it sound like the worst fever dream. Sorry.

Listened to an interview with him once and he says his family has no idea how to pronounce their name. He's hilarious to listen to.

I finally got around to watching this.. Russ' story is pretty epic, and the family still makes a mark here in Sacramento. I just saw Lets Play Two at the Tower theater..
https://sacramentopress.com/2010/05/12/ ... -to-close/Dimple is a cool local chain, but despite trying it never quite captured for me what Tower did in my youth.... import cd's, standing in line (often overnight) for tickets... Saw Metallica play on the back of a semi trailer at the San Jose store...man Tower was the shit

I was at that show too - I lived right across the street from that Tower Records.
