Weird experience watching this again. One of my earliest memories is watching this with my dad. I was probably barely old enough to talk at the time. I couldn't recall anything about the movie except the mountain and being vaguely creeped out, yet at every scene I was like "Oh yeah I remember this." I must have paid more attention than I thought.
- How terrible a human being is Richard Dreyfuss's character in this btw?
- The plot is really boring on the face of it, but Spielberg makes it work somehow. People are very busy doing not much of anything.
- I love how lived-in the house feels. Spielberg was always a pro at that.
