It has GAry Busey. It doesn't need to make sense.

Why does the Predator go to LA?
Why is it fighting gangs?
How does it keep showing up wherever this group of cops goes?
Why is it mindlessly slaughtering tons of people it isn’t even hunting? And not even taking trophies?
Why is it killed by sluggish, awkward Danny Glover when it pretty easily massacred a whole bunch of elite special forces in the last movie?
Why does it say, “motherfucker?”

Why why why why why

How did anyone think this script was a good idea? The ‘90s were weird.

How did anyone think this script was a good idea? The ‘90s were weird.

1. its hot and violent, two of his favorite things.
2. why not? he likes to kill bad asses. They run the city.
3. they all had weapons. even the old lady. Not worth trophies though.
4. Danny "Cutting off my dick and shoving it up my ass" Glover is a fucking badass in this.
5. he has a potty mouth.

These are all obvious facts. Frankly, I'm very disappointed in you.

What's dumb is your inability to learn Predator's rules even though they are spelled out very clearly in both movies.

It ruins everything that made the Predator scary and interesting in the first movie.

By the way, that first movie. Holy fucking shit. Hadn’t seen it in a long time. What a goddamn movie. Wow.

This is nonsense. He is treated basically the same. Why are you lying about this? Who sent you?

The brilliance of Predator 2 is that they understood what made Predator 1 work so well.

The first one is a Dirty Dozen/Rambo war movie where an alien randomly shows up and wrecks everyone's shit.

The second is a Dirty Harry/Death Wish movie where an alien randomly shows up and wrecks everyone's shit.

Plus it adds Bill Paxton and Gary Busey.

Perfect.

Things that make him cool in the first one:

-He is a loner
-He hunts for sport
-He is mysterious
-He is much more powerful than the humans
-He picks people off one by one
-He doesn’t talk
-The special effects makeup is unbelievably good

All of these are thrown out the window in 2.

I could not disagree more. There is so much more that goes into making the first one special. John McTiernan is a huge piece of it.

- he is still a loner. There is more than one of them, but I don't get the feeling they hang out much. WHy would I assume the first was any different? that's basically what I thought.
- he still does.
- it's not like they spelled out his backstory here. You see the ship and a trophy case. it's fine.
- he still does that, just a lot faster. :)
- he talks in the first movie!
- yes

Oh, also, you see him all the fucking time. The first one doles it out perfectly, gradually - like Jaws.

Predator 2 is to Predator what Deep Blue Sea is to Jaws.

It's a fine film and a worthy addition to the Predator universe. You need to watch it again and take notes this time so you don't get confused again.
