Interesting Japanese movie, about kids being switched at birth.
«It premièred on 18 May 2013 at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Palme d'Or. After the screening, the audience welcomed the film with a ten-minute standing ovation, and director Kore-eda and Fukuyama were moved to tears. In a 25 May 2013 ceremony, it won the Jury Prize.»

Cool, haven't seen that one. Kore-eda's newest one was pretty good, Broker. Takes place in Korea, starring Song Kang-Ho (of Parasite, etc). About a baby whose mother drops it in an adoption box at a church and some kind-hearted criminals and cops. I feel like I may not have forgiven the movie its sweetness had it been in English, but it's very pretty and well-acted and I liked it.
I haven't seen much Kore-eda, actually. Only Broker and After Life (which I really dig). I should look at more
I watched "You were never really here" last night, mostly because it starred Joachim Phoenix.
It was alright, I guess. Pretty bleak, tense at times, but I think it should have been more violent. Most of the violence happens off cameras, or is masked by the editing. I guess it was probably a budgetary issue.
Pretty blah with no real plot and a weirdly high number of corset enhanced down-blouse shots for Disney movie.
