I was a big Road to Perdition fan back in the day. I’d welcome a rewatch.

Really enjoyed it. Probably even slightly more than I did when it was new.

:nice:

I almost agree with Tom on The Master. I don’t know if I’d define it as something missing for me, but there is something that just doesn’t fully click for me as it does with you guys.

As I’ve said before, it also doesn’t click for me

Felt similar when I saw it a few years ago.

Saw the first half of Mystic River now. Pretty good. Hurts looking at it.

Thinking about watching that 300 sequel. Still pissed that they didn't call it 301 or something like that.

I’ve still never seen the second one. And I even own it.

Finally watched Prometheus. Visually spectacular, utterly stupid except for fassbender’s David character. Lots of good ideas that add up to nothing and not one compelling human character. Reminded me of the Star Wars prequels in the way it took an expansive mysterious universe and reduced it to a bunch of characters who are all one or two hops from one another. At one point the camera shows a computer screen that says SANITIZATION COMPLETE, NO CONTAMINANT DETECTED and then cuts right to a character who helpfully says “sanitization complete, no life form detected!”

This has the most insanely stupid sex scene I have ever seen. How strange.

I'm watching The Player. I'm about halfway through and enjoying it a lot.

Well this was not good. Maybe not as bad as I was expecting, but not good.

Greece was never even an empire. The stupidity of the title is too much.
