Yeah the music is fantastic, really made the movie for me.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri  - Great acting, great story
The Disaster Artist   I don't think I've been riveted to a movie this much in a long time

The Shape of Water. Really enjoyed this, but when we got to the end my wife looked at me and said 'This won awards?' - then back peddled slightly by saying she enjoyed it some

Which is only part of the reason why the William Jefferson Clinton presidency was so much fun!

The Darkest Hour

Holy fuck this is gonna disavow those insufferable Brits of a few notions. About themselves and Churchill. It destroys the myth of Churchill without even bringing up the fact that he was an imperialist drone who oversaw and turned a blind eye to a famine in India and his approval and instigation of the Black and Tans massacre in Ireland.

It’s brilliant and Oldman upends every notion you have but I can’t see it bein a welcome depiction of the man on this side of the pond. Meaning the island behind mine nobody talks to anymore.

Over the last couple weeks, I rewatched the full Harry Potter series. My second time through; it's been a few years since my first. I loved the series a lot this go around. What a beautiful, evocative expression of adolescence and growing into an adult. I think the final scene in Deathly Hallows: Part 2 made me understand having kids.

Ranking:

1. Sorcerer's Stone
2. Chamber of Secrets
3. Goblet of Fire
4. Prisoner of Azkaban
5. Death Hallows: Part 2
6. Half-Blood Prince
7. Deathly Hallows: Part 1
8. Order of the Phoenix

I disagree. Some are clearly better than others and I'd certainly rank them differently than LV. But there's not a "stinker" in the bunch.

Chamber of Secrets is my least favorite but it's also my least favorite book, too. DH1 is badass AF.
