I also love Boutella.
It started promising, then ground to a halt for like 20 minutes. Then it started getting interesting, and for a good stretch in the middle it becomes something really special and horrific, basically Noe getting out his feelings about the horrorshow of the social media age. Then it just kind of...fizzles. Another really overlong stretch and a climax that does not deliver on what the movie set up for itself. I left kinda disappointed. It’s so close but it’s not there.
Can I get some recommendations on movies set in ~1725-1875 America? Think Last of the Mohicans, The Revenant, The Patriot, Cold Mountain. The more muskets and Native Americans, the better.

Also the deadwood series is worth checking out. Films comin soon.
