Wow, that was awesome. Cant believe i havent seen this one before....looked great, it was super funny and so fucking sad too. Adam Brody was incredible.

Just finished Kid Detective. Dragged in parts but overall really liked it, and yeah that ending was great.

Spoiler: show
i loved how fucked up was to find her friend in that way...and then his release with his parents. His overall depression was super well despicted in the movie

I've been hoping The Kid Detective would pop up on one of my streaming services, but I might just have to bite the bullet and rent it.

Thinking about Kid Detective more and it's grown on me as I've sat with it. I thought it was good last night but now I'm reaching for great. That ending just totally rearticulates the entire movie. And I love the use of Air's "Sexy Boy" for a movie that's basically about not being able to let go of the past, insofar as that song was like sriracha for directors between the years 1999 and 2012 or so--you put it on everything.

Minari. Beautiful and moving. Didn’t hit me nearly as hard as Sound of Metal, but I’d be glad to see it win the Oscar

yeah, its a great movie, and i agree, the ending is super powerful. Also, Brody is such a great choice, him also being an actor super attached to something he did like 20 years ago.

Vanilla Sky

When I first saw this movie I was like 14 so my big takeaway was "damn that's crazy." On a more mature viewing it's such a bloated mess of a movie. Great soundtrack though
