The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
I'm going to Alamo Drafthouse tonight for a screening of In The Valley Below Presents: The Pink Chateau.
Alamo's site describes it as:
Quote:
A LIVE CONCERT WRAPPED IN A CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE. From the art-rock duo In the Valley Below comes a captivating musical and theatrical event that will both stun you with its cinematic visuals and have you dancing to its catchy electro-pop beats.
THE PINK CHATEAU is a story of a young woman who follows a beautiful stranger into the countryside. What unfolds is a series of sensual and intimate tales in the form of a modern silent movie with In the Valley Below’s latest album as the soundtrack.
Guests can expect the unexpected – a fully immersive audio and visual experience as the band performs the album/score live in theaters. Did we mention this was all going to be broadcast over headphones? Don’t miss the chance to participate in this unique fusion of cinema and live music.
I have no idea if this is going to be cool or totally fucking frustrating and stupid. But I'm excited.
This was a ton of fun.
The band did, in fact, play live in the theater. But all sound came through the headphones they provided. The film was totally fine. Kind of like an album long music video that had a loose narrative but rather focused themes that tied the characters together. Some lovely scenes, but the real star was the music.

its really tiresome to see these ¨good guys¨ talking about any political stuff in tv while also being kinda funny and hip and cool....its just...please enough of this shit.
Difficult to say the least. Some gorgeous frames and a very cool score.
I’m unbelievably excited for this
Im a huge fan of The Comedy. This one...you gotta be in the mood. The framing is incredible tough...almost like a paint or a photograph. Really, there are amazing moments.

I love The Comedy more because i can relate more to that story or characters...and i just love love how its shot. Its just amazing. But Entertainment is just...amazing yeah.
I would say The Mountain is better shot, that have a lot of incredible moments but its way more difficult than those two.
