Between this and Werner Herzog's Family Romance LLC, I like that there's a trend of aging German auteurs relocating to Japan and making melancholy low-budget movies in Japanese
Been watching movies released in 2020 for a few months now.
Here are the final 12 I plan to see, before moving on to 2021:
Another Round, Minari, Palm Springs, A Quiet Place Part II, Nomadland, The Invisible Man, Quo Vadis, Aida?, Riders Of Justice, Never Rarely Sometimes Always, The King Of Staten Island, Emma., The Courier.
These are the best first time viewings I’ve seen in the last two months (all 2020):
Nine Days, Shithouse, There Is No Evil, My Octopus Teacher, Wolfwalkers, The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart, David Byrne’s American Utopia, The Painter and the Thief, Small Axe: Mangrove, Words On Bathroom Walls.
Guys, I am not a moderator! I swear to God! Why does everyone think I'm a moderator?

What did you think of American Utopia?

Loved it. Even if I had high hopes, it surpassed my expectations. Really lifted my spirits that day, maybe that whole week. David Byrne is brilliant.
