The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Plan on watching the Three Colors trilogy (Krzysztof Kieślowski) this weekend, while giving my wife some much needed time to sleep in. All three are great films, but Blue is probably my favorite. I love Juliette Binoche.
I've been meaning to watch those.
Watched Beasts of the Southern Wild. Great coming of age story. It tugged on the heartstrings.
Hey, Platy, you see a lot of international cinema. Did you see Tarr's The Turin Horse yet and how is it? Is it as painfully slow as Werckmeister Harmonies?

Rabbit Hole I really liked this. I love movies that deal with coping with tragedy. The mother's obsession with the boy that killed her son was fascinating. Uplifting in a weird way. Great performances all around. Dianne Wiest was fantastic as usual. I wish John Cameron Mitchell would make more movies.

I'm a huge fan of David Lindsay-Abaire (who wrote the original play) and I liked the play a lot. A lot, a lot. Because of that I haven't seen the movie yet. I'm afraid of it.
But I should check it out. Totally forgot that Michell directed it. Huge plus.
