The lost boys.
I will always love this movie. I’m trying to watch it now with adult eyes. Pointless. I still remember every line The grandpa I really appreciate now. He’s brilliant.
Can you watch a film you loved as a kid with cold hard eyes? I can’t. I love this film.

The Circle. God damn that was terrible. So many actors underutilized. The whole time I'm trying to figure out what kind of movie it's trying to be and I'm not sure it ever came to a conclusion. Hell, the literal movie had issues coming to a conclusion. 17% and even that seems generous. It was hard watching Bill Paxton because it actually looked like he was dying.
And then at the end I saw "based on the novel by Dave Eggers". Oh, well that explains a whole fucking lot, actually.

THe book is fantastic. The movie leaves out about 80% of the book and combines multiple characters into one or two. The movie is atrocious. The book is actually really great.

I read a review of the book and it seems like the part of the movie that is most like it is when the crazy Circle bots are trying to get her to fill in her details because she did things without telling everyone about them. "You went kayaking? I love kayaking, you didn't invite me?" That part was actually funny.
"The Shining". My wife had never seen it so we saw it last night after the kids went to bed. She was bored by it, by claims to be terrified of scary movies.

Wife had never seen Psycho (1960), so we put that on last night. I think it's a credit to Hitchcock's talent that she didn't see the twist ending coming.
